Overview

Legal Aid Society (LAS) is offering an exciting internship opportunity for final-year LLB students to gain practical exposure to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and mediation through its Court-Notified Mediation Centre.

Working closely with the Centre's Coordinator and accredited mediators, interns will gain hands-on experience in mediation case management, legal documentation, operational coordination, and dispute resolution while observing live mediation proceedings and supporting the day-to-day functioning of the Centre.

Position summary

The Intern will support the administrative and operational functions of the Court-Notified Mediation Centre by assisting with case management, scheduling mediation sessions, maintaining records, updating case databases, and coordinating with mediators. The internship provides practical learning opportunities in mediation procedures, ADR laws, legal administration, and professional case management.

Key responsibilities

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Coordinator - Court-Notified Mediation Centre and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
