1.1. Request for Proposals – Service Notice
Nutrition International (NI), a non-profit agency dedicated to eliminating vitamin and mineral deficiencies worldwide, invites proposals from competent agencies regarding Engagement of Statutory Auditor of Nutrition International for the years 2026-2030
1.2. Background
1.2.1. Nutrition International (formerly known as The Micronutrient Initiative) is an international not-for-profit organization that works to ensure the poor – especially women and children – in developing countries get the vitamins and minerals they need to survive and lead productive lives. NI works together with governments, the private sector and civil society organizations to address this serious problem that affects one third of the world’s population. Governed by an international Board of Directors, NI works in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East and reaches people in over 70 countries. With headquarters in Ottawa, Canada, NI maintains regional offices in Asia and Africa that manage country offices in Asia and Africa.
1.2.2. Nutrition International is assisting the Government of Pakistan in implementing health related projects for improved health of women and children. NI is operating in Pakistan since 2001 under an MOU with the government of Pakistan which was further extended by the EAD till Feb 28, 2016. NI registered & signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Pakistan through the Ministry of Interior and Economic Affairs Division under the new INGO registration policy for a period of 3 years till February 2020. Thereafter, the MoU has been renewed annually by the Government of Pakistan.
1.2.3. Nutrition International is seeking to appoint its statutory auditors for Audit of its books of accounts for the next five years starting from April 01, 2025 and ending on March 31, 2030. However, the contracts for the statutory services will be issued on an annual basis subject to the satisfactory statutory audit services.
1.2.4. This Request for Proposals (RFP) and particularly the Guidelines for Preparing Proposals that follow, are designed to help Respondents to produce proposals that are acceptable to the NI, and to ensure that all proposals are given equal consideration. It is essential, therefore, that Respondents provide the complete information that is requested, and in the formats and on the terms specified.
