Relevant Experience:

ACA, ICMA with 03 years post qualification experience & experience preferably in a donor agency's grant-funded project with a similar role.

Job Description:

A. Financial Management

  • Payables Management: Oversee timely vendor payments, resolve queries, verify supporting documents, ensure compliance, manage cheque disbursements, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Petty Cash Management: Implement and monitor the imprest system, review requests, ensure policy adherence, and train staff.
  • Employee Advances Management: Review and approve advance requests, ensure compliance with policies, and oversee timely adjustments in staff ledgers.
  • Payroll Processing: Verify payroll calculations, deductions, reconciliations, approvals, and ensure timely bank transfers.
  • Grant Management: Ensure accurate recording and disbursement of grants, report large transactions to HQ, and maintain compliance with grant policies.
  • Taxation & Compliance: Ensure correct tax deductions, timely deposits, tax reporting, and liaise with procurement for exemptions.
  • GL & Accounting System Maintenance: Maintain chart of accounts, cost centers, review system-generated vouchers, and manage user access rights.
  • Bank & Head Office Coordination: Manage new account openings, resolve banking queries, ensure proper documentation, and coordinate cheque signings.

B. Budgeting & Financial Reporting

  • Ensure correct budget allocation in collaboration with the Sr. Grants Officer.
  • Prepare variance analysis reports in the absence of the Manager Grants.

C. Capacity Building & Training

  • Identify training needs and conduct finance staff development sessions.

D. Field Support

  • Provide financial guidance to field offices, review documentation, and conduct site visits.

E. Audit & Compliance

  • Act as the lead coordinator for grant audits.
  • Liaise with internal audit teams and conduct quarterly financial reviews.
