Job Title: Research Associate
Duty Station: Head Office, Islamabad
Reporting to: Team Lead, UIL

Background
Research and Development Solutions (RADS) is a for-profit private-sector organization providing research, technical assistance, surveys, and monitoring services in partnership with governments, donors, and NGOs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing research protocols, survey tools, and data collection plans
• Support literature reviews, desk research, and background documentation
• Coordinate and oversee field activities, including data collection and quality control
• Clean, manage, and analyze datasets using tools like Stata, R, SPSS, or Excel
• Contribute to data visualization and dashboard development (Power BI/Tableau)
• Draft research reports, policy briefs, presentations, and academic papers
• Liaise with field teams, government counterparts, and development partners
• Support capacity-building activities including trainings, workshops, and webinars
• Maintain documentation, ethical compliance, and data protection protocols

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics, Data Science, Public Health, or related field

1–3 years of relevant experience in research or development sector

Strong command over research methodologies (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods)

Proficiency in statistical/data analysis software (e.g., Stata, R, SPSS)

Experience in working with data visualization or GIS tools is a plus

Excellent writing and communication skills in English

Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams

Willingness to travel to field sites, if required

Preferred:

• Familiarity with health systems, urban development, family planning, nutrition, or immunization programs in Pakistan
• Experience in donor-funded projects (e.g., Gavi, WHO, UNICEF, BMGF)
• Knowledge of Power BI or dashboarding tools
