Job Profile
The post holder will be responsible for Organization Pakistan's significant expansion in programming, attracting new donors, and expanding into new programmatic areas. Organization Pakistan has a growing Development portfolio focused on Health, Education, Protection, and Livelihoods. Based in Peshawar, the Communication Officer oversees all program development and communication tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- To develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience.
- Develop, write, and edit communications materials, including monthly updates, project briefs, press releases, blog posts, and content to be used for social media
- Liaise with program and project teams to identify stories of impact. Travel to field sites to collect testimonials and success stories.
- Design high-quality presentations and support program teams to develop tools and content needed to meet institutional donor reports.
- Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication materials.
- Ensure that all communications material aligns with donor and organizational brand standards
- Capture Photos & Videos and maintain archives accordingly.
- Communicates regularly with program and field staff as well as other departments on ongoing and planned program development efforts, specific support needs, and field staff capacity-building requirements.

Essential criteria
This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in demanding and often difficult environments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, International Development, or any relevant degree in social sciences
- Minimum 2 years of experience in program design, development, and communications, most notably for EU, UN, USAID, and other institutional donors.
- Proficient in Photography and Video Production.
- High-level English verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in working through a partnership approach with national NGOs.
- Design and implementation of programs in fragile states and for refugee and IDP populations.
Desirable criteria
- Excellent critical thinking skills and sound judgment. Proven willingness to make timely and sound decisions based on accurate judgment.
- Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness, with strong attention to detail and an ability to work virtually with team members
