Job Opportunity: MSME/ BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Location: Quetta (with travel to target provinces/districts)
A leading development sector organization is seeking an MSME/Business Development Specialist for one of its key projects aimed at empowering communities, particularly women, by organizing them into livestock producer groups for collective production and the establishment of community-led livestock markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for strengthening livestock MSMEs, managing financing processes, and coordinating technical support for selected SMEs.
- Ensure qualified MSMEs access technical support, financial literacy training, and grants through a competitive, transparent process.
- Develop yearly work plans and budgets, monitor progress, and suggest corrective actions.
- Coordinate with technical advisory firms and consultants to deliver MSME training and capacity-building sessions.
- Facilitate MSME training on business planning, financial literacy, and pitch development.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to project teams and guide MSMEs in mobilizing matching funds.
- Oversee grant allocation and green technology investments.
- Develop policies, procedures, and templates for business development and MSME strengthening.
- Support MSMEs with registration, audits, and connections to value chain actors.
- Design a targeted outreach strategy, prioritizing women-owned/managed MSMEs.
- Build a pipeline of beneficiaries for advisory and business development services.
- Collaborate with M&E teams to ensure data accuracy and process improvements.
- Organize visibility events to support MSMEs and promote success stories.
- Facilitate linkages between MSMEs and financial institutions for product access.Design a targeted outreach strategy for project districts and neighboring economic hubs, prioritising women-owned/managed MSMEs.
- Create implementation plans with grant recipient beneficiaries and develop MSME financial literacy curriculum and training strategies.
- Facilitate information sessions in communities.
Key Requirements:
- Master’s degree in business administration, Economics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in MSME development, business support services, or financial inclusion, preferably in the livestock sector.
- Strong skills in team building, stakeholder coordination, facilitation, and negotiations.
- Experience working with development sector organizations, donors, and partners.
