Position: (Roshan Aaj Academic System) RAAS- Coordinator (Principal)

Location: Dhoke Hassu Rawalpindi Union Council No.5 Gulsha Data Street
Reports to: Program Manager
Employment Type: Full-time

1. Purpose of the Role

The RAAS-Coordinator is the academic and administrative head of the RAAS, responsible for providing leadership in planning, organizing, and managing the day-to-day operations of the RAAS. The Team Lead ensures a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment and promotes academic excellence and holistic development of all students. She/He will be responsible to make school sustainable and enrolment of students as per plan

2. Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership, Mentoring and Monitoring:

  • Develop and implement the school’s academic vision, mission, and strategic plan.
  • Supervise curriculum implementation and ensure alignment with national/international standards.
  • Promote innovation in teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
  • Monitor students' academic progress and implement improvement plans.
  • Provide continuous mentoring, coaching, and professional guidance to teachers for improved pedagogy, lesson planning, and classroom management.
  • Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to enhance teaching quality.
  • Organize teacher training workshops, peer-learning circles, and skill development sessions.
  • Establish a teacher performance monitoring framework with clear KPIs (student outcomes, attendance, lesson delivery, discipline).

Team Management, Learning & Development:

  • Lead recruitment, orientation, and performance management of teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous professional development and accountability.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure alignment with national standards and RAAS objectives.
  • Promote child-centred, inclusive, and innovative teaching practices.
  • Introduce learning support mechanisms for struggling students (remedial classes, peer tutoring, after-school support).
  • Integrate technology and modern teaching tools for enriched learning experiences.
  • Encourage extracurricular and co-curricular activities for holistic student development.

Innovation & Startups in Education

  • Pilot innovative educational practices (STEM activities, project-based learning, digital literacy).
  • Identify and scale small education “startup” initiatives within RAAS (e.g., student clubs, school-led enterprises, parent-community education projects).
  • Encourage entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and leadership skills among students.
  • Develop partnerships with education innovators and organizations to enrich RAAS programs.

School Administration:

  • Oversee day-to-day school operations, including timetabling, discipline, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with education regulations, health and safety standards, and school policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.

Student Welfare and Discipline:

  • Promote the well-being, safety, and personal development of all students.
  • Establish and enforce a fair and transparent code of conduct.
  • Support student counselling and inclusion services.

Parental and Community Engagement:

  • Build positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider community.
  • Organize regular parent-teacher meetings and community outreach events.
  • Encourage parental involvement in school activities and decision-making.

Financial and Resource Management:

  • Manage the school’s budget, resources, and facilities efficiently.
  • Coordinate procurement and maintenance of school supplies and infrastructure.
  • Identify and pursue fundraising or grant opportunities when applicable.

Expansion & Sustainability Planning

  • Contribute to strategic planning for the growth and sustainability of RAAS.
  • Support resource mobilization through partnerships, donor linkages, and innovative fee models.
  • Assist in identifying new opportunities for expanding campuses and student outreach.
  • Ensure cost-efficiency, quality assurance, and financial sustainability of RAAS operations.

3. Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in education, Educational Leadership, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum [5–10] years of teaching experience with at least [2–5] years in a leadership/ administrative role.

5. Reporting and Supervision

The RAAS Team-Lead will report directly to the Program Manager AHKF and will supervise all teaching and support staff affiliated with RAAS.

6. Working Conditions

  • Full-time position, based at the Roshan Aaj Academic System (RAAS) Dhoke Hassu Rawalpindi.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work for school events or meetings may be required.
  • Coordination with other stakeholders for education programs including formal and non-formal in the communities.
