Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a seasoned and dynamic Medical Officer/Family Physician for its Karachi Region under Elderly Care Project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular family medicine clinics in facility
  • Conduct household visits for patient care as per project requirement
  • Monitoring and providing general care to patients
  • Examining and talking to patients to diagnose their medical conditions
  • Provide community-based services beyond facility settings
  • Should be fully aware of the mission and key objectives of the project as well as AKHS, P
  • Provide health education to patients
  • Provide emergency coverage where necessary
  • Keep record of patients, diagnosis and management of AKHSP provided tools (paper based and
  • digital)
  • Ensure all medical and quality protocols while providing patient care
  • Should be a team player, with good communication skills
  • Willing to work at different AKHSP centers
  • Willing to work in shifts (morning and evening only)
  • Good digital literacy
  • Good English language command

Qualification & Competencies:

  • MBBS with valid PMDC license
  • MCPS/FCPS in family medicine or geriatric care would be preferred
  • 1-2 Years of relevant experience
  • Clinical experience with elderly or palliative department would be preferred
  • Ability to use digital tools 
  • Excellent communication and customer dealing skills
  • Adequate computer skills and command on English language
