Job Summary:
As part of the communication team, and in coordination with various short-term and long-term projects, the Communications and Reporting Assistant will support CARE Pakistan's communications function by strengthening digital presence, supporting programme documentation, creating and publishing content, basic data analytics and reporting, contributing to organization wide communication activities, brainstorming ideas for diverse audiences, including communities, donors, partners, media, and internal stakeholders.
The Communications and Reporting Assistant will help translate technical and programme content into engaging, accessible communication products aligned with CARE's branding and safeguarding standards.
1- Social Media Management & Digital Content (30% of the time):
- Support planning, drafting, scheduling, and publishing content on CARE Pakistan's Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn platforms.
- Develop creative, audience-appropriate captions and visual content using programme updates, translated technical content, and campaign messages.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting aligned with organizational priorities, campaigns, and global CARE moments.
- Assist in moderating comments and messages in line with CARE's digital safeguarding and community management guidelines.
2- Data Analysis and Reporting (30% of the time):
- Compile and analyze basic social media analytics (reach, engagement, impressions, audience growth).
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting using Excel and PowerPoint, including charts, visuals, and short analytical narratives.
- Maintain organized datasets and dashboards to support learning and content improvement.
- Apply analytical and critical-thinking skills to assess content performance and recommend improvements.
3- Content Writing and Creative Writing (20% of the time):
- Draft clear, engaging, and accurate content including: Success stories and human-interest stories, research summaries, briefs, and meeting reports, case studies and programme highlights, short articles, blogs, and web content.
- Support technical writing tasks by structuring reports, synthesizing findings, and editing content for clarity and consistency.
- Conduct interviews with programme participants, staff, and partners to gather content for stories and features.
- Support public-facing communication through basic public speaking and presentation support during events, campaigns, and programme activities when required.
4- Programme Documentation & Knowledge Management (15% of the time):
- Maintain and update programme communication files, databases, and digital archives.
- Support documentation of programme activities including meetings, workshops, trainings, and field visits.
- Assist in background research, and synthesis of information for communication products.
- Support preparation and editing of research outputs, including structured reports, briefs, and articles.
5- Other responsibilities as assigned: (05% of time)
- Any other tasks or responsibilities based on organizational and programming needs as assigned by the Line Manager.

Bachelor's degree in communication, social sciences, or a related fieldB) Experience/ Technical Skills

- Minimum 1 year of experience in a communications or related role.
- Experience in creating and publishing content, overseeing office communication activities, brainstorming ideas and developing publications, including research.
- Strong computer skills particularly in design software (Canva) and writing and data analytics software (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Technical know-how pertaining to social media management.
- Strong time management skills with the capacity to adapt to a changing environment and work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent writing, communication, proofreading, editing and presentation skills.
