Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Call Center Lawyer is responsible for providing legal advice to callers by addressing their queries in accordance with the laws of Pakistan and the organization’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role requires legal research, documentation, and collaboration with the Chief Legal Advisor to ensure accurate and timely legal assistance.


Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Advisory & Case Management

  • Professionally receive incoming calls, actively listen, and assess legal queries.

  • Use effective questioning techniques to gather relevant caller information and record it in the CRM system.

  • Provide immediate legal advice for simple queries; conduct legal research and consult with the Chief Legal Advisor for complex matters, responding within 24 hours.

  • Refer cases to relevant LAS programs, MICADR, or other departments based on the caller’s legal needs.

  • Follow up on unresolved or abandoned calls and provide timely updates to callers.

2. Documentation & CRM Management

  • Accurately enter all required fields in the CRM, ensuring clear and concise legal documentation.

  • Communicate legal advice in simple, understandable English for Chief Legal Advisor review.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal and organizational guidelines.

3. Communication & Outreach

  • Engage with callers in their preferred language (Urdu, Sindhi, or English) ensuring culturally sensitive communication.

  • Transfer calls to relevant team members if language barriers arise.

  • Participate in SLACC research initiatives and contribute to legal awareness campaigns.

  • Support social media and promotional activities to enhance the visibility of SLACC and LAS’s mission.

4. Professional Development & Compliance

  • Participate in capacity-building trainings and legal research activities.

  • Adhere to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and development goals set by the manager.

  • Represent SLACC/LAS in events and programs when required.

  • Assist in compiling research deliverables, including annual and biannual reports.
